PMC3 is the 3rd generation clay produced by Mitsubishi Materials.  The PMC3 range has a shrinkage rate of approximate 12-15%.  Once fired the PMC3 is denser than either PMC+ and PMC Standard making is harder wearing and is therefore recommended when making rings and other objects that need to be "hard wearing".  The lower minimum firing temp and lower shrinkage rate enables it to be combined with fused glass pieces.

PMC3 paste has the same shrinkate and firing temps as the lump clay, it can be used added pieces of PMC together, repair cracks or it can be used alone by adding multiple layers to an armature.  Paste is used widely to paint layers of paste to organics such as leaves.  Once dried and fired the leaf burns off and you are left with a perfect impression of the leaf (just 12-15% smaller.)
Minimum firing temperature is 600^o C.
