About Us
Unfortunately due to varying circumstances for both Donna and Saskia the Sympatica website has become stagnant of late so we apologise and hopefully when our circumstances change we will be able to do some amazing things to update this website. Thanks for looking and your patience.
Sympatica is the website of Sympatica Ceramics and Sympatica Silver. Sympatica brings together two craftspeople from differing backgrounds who formed a friendship while their kids were at pre-school and kept popping up in the same arts and crafts areas over the ensuing years, so here we are sharing our common love of creating things and teaching others to do so too.
Donna Fox is Sympatica Silver.

Donna comes from a varied arts and craft background and brings a wealth of knowledge to her teaching of Precious Metal Clay (PMC). PMC or Art Clay Silver are the trade names of the 2 brands of metal clay available in Australia. Metal clay is fine particles of silver that is combined with organic binder and water to produce a clay like material. This material can be rolled, molded or shaped into your own designs, once dried and sanded it is fired at least 600 degrees Celsius (which can be achieved using a butane torch). The remarkable result from this transformation is your own original piece of pure silver jewellery. Donna is a Senior Teacher with PMC and holds regular workshops from simple beginners through to Certification courses.
Saskia Nardo is Sympatica Ceramics.
Saskia is a very talented Ceramic artist who has taught pottery and ceramics extensively in the Sydney area and is now concentrating her artist efforts on finished ceramics. Don’t be put off by the thought of the “old” ceramics we all have a mental image of, Saskia’s work is funky and contemporary. Most recently she has produced a new range of ceramic focal beads which can be worn alone or incorporated into other beaded designs. Also available are bisque beads which can be embellished using any of the Metal Clays. Saskia is also a PMC Certified Artisan and loves combining these two wonderful mediums.
